Archinometry
This is a newsletter from archinometry.com.
Archinometry is a collection of essays and notes on software architecture, technology, and Brunei. While the primary focus is software architecture and technology, a wider range of topics will also be explored. After all, it would be remiss of an architect not to steal ideas from other disciplines!
Our greatest strength is the exact opposite of narrow specialization. It is the ability to integrate broadly.

I’m Amirul Menjeni, writing from Brunei 🇧🇳.
I currently work in data architecture and governance at Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP). Previously, I worked as a data engineer at Datastream Digital (DST), where I was introduced to the world of big data and business intelligence.
While my thinking has benefited greatly from friends and colleagues both within and outside IT, the views expressed here are my own.
Archinometry is where I work through ideas by writing them down, drawing connections between what I’ve read, observed, and experienced, with software near the centre.
Cheers.
